RSVPs let you track who is coming to an event. You turn RSVPs on, share the event, and people respond with Yes, Maybe, or No. Attendees do not need an AddCal account to respond.
Quick start
Open your event and go to the RSVPs tab.
Click Enable RSVPs. A registration form is added to your event page.
Share your event link. People can now RSVP.
Enable RSVPs
You can turn RSVPs on for any event:
When creating an event, enable RSVPs as part of the event setup.
For an existing event, open it, go to the RSVPs tab, and click Enable RSVPs.
Once enabled, your event page gets a registration form and a live response count.
Share your event
People RSVP from your event's public page. Share it the same way you share any event: copy the link from the Share tab, add a button to your site, or download the QR code. For the details, see Creating and sharing your first event.
Track responses
On the RSVPs tab you see a live dashboard of responses:
Attending, Maybe, and Not Attending counts update in real time.
The attendee table lists each person's name, email, response, and any custom fields they submitted.
Filter the table by response type to focus on who is attending.
Manage individual responses
Add an RSVP manually, for example for someone who replied by phone.
Edit a response to fix a name, email, or answer.
Delete a response. This cannot be undone.
Attendees can also change their own response at any time using the link they originally used.
Import RSVPs from a file
If you already have a guest list in a spreadsheet, you can import it instead of adding people one at a time. On the RSVPs tab, click Import (next to Export CSV) to open the Import RSVPs dialog.
Upload a
.csv,.xlsx, or.xlsfile.Map columns. Choose which column in your file feeds each RSVP field. AddCal recognises Email (required), Name, Response (yes, maybe, or no), and any custom fields on the event's RSVP form. Columns are auto-detected from their headers where possible, so check the matches and fix any that are wrong.
If the event uses duplicate prevention, turn on Update existing RSVPs when the email already exists so a repeat email updates that person instead of adding a second row.
Optionally turn on Send confirmation email with calendar invite to email each imported RSVP. This is a premium feature: it shows (Premium feature) and stays unavailable unless your team is subscribed and confirmation emails are turned on for the event. If you turn it on, a Before you import step asks you to confirm you are only importing people who explicitly agreed to hear from you (importing cold, purchased, or scraped lists breaks our terms and anti-spam laws).
Start the import. Processing runs in the background, so you do not have to stay on the page. You see progress and then a results summary of how many RSVPs were imported, updated, skipped, and failed.
The Free plan's 50 RSVP soft limit still applies to imported RSVPs. Confirmation emails sent from an import count toward your team's monthly email allowance (see Managing your subscription), and a larger import may ask you to verify your account first (see Verify your account to send emails).
Export your list
Click Export CSV on the RSVPs tab to download responses as a CSV file, including any custom form fields. The export respects whatever filter you have applied, so you can export only the people attending.
RSVP limits
On the Free plan each event has a soft limit of 50 RSVPs. If you reach it, your event keeps working and we will contact you about upgrading. Paid plans raise this limit. You can also set your own attendee limit per event, with a custom message shown once it is reached. See RSVP confirmations, reminders, and notifications.
Separately from these limits, a spam check can appear on the public registration form asking to verify the browser. It normally passes in a moment, and importing or adding RSVPs from the dashboard is never affected. If it gets stuck and will not let someone submit, see Stuck on "verifying your browser" when you RSVP?, which you can send straight to a guest.
