Teams let several people share the same calendars, events, and RSVPs in AddCal. You invite people by email, give each one a role, and they join from an invitation email. This article covers inviting members, managing roles, switching between teams, and the member limit on each plan.

Inviting team members is a paid feature. On the Free plan your team is just you, so you need a Premium or Business plan to add others.

Open your team settings

Your team controls live on the Team Settings page.

  1. Open the team switcher at the top of the sidebar (it shows your current team name).

  2. Under Manage Team, click the link to your current team to open Team Settings.

Invite a team member

From Team Settings, scroll to the team members section and send an invitation.

  1. Enter the person's Email.

  2. Choose a Role (see the roles below).

  3. Click the invite button to send an invitation email.

The person you invite needs an AddCal account using that email address. They join the team by opening the invitation email and accepting it. Until they accept, their invitation appears under Pending Team Invitations, where you can cancel it.

Roles

AddCal has two roles. You pick a role when you invite someone, and you can change it later.

Role

What they can do

Administrator

Perform any action, including reading, creating, updating, and deleting resources and managing billing.

Editor

Read, create, and update resources. Editors cannot manage billing.

Change a member's role or remove them

In the team members list on Team Settings:

  • To change a role, click Manage Role next to the member and pick the new role.

  • To take someone off the team, click Remove next to them.

  • To take yourself off a team you do not own, use Leave Team.

Switch between teams

You can belong to more than one team and have your own personal team. To move between them, open the team switcher at the top of the sidebar and choose a team under Switch Teams. The team you select becomes your current team, and everything you create applies to it.

To start a new team, open the team switcher and click Create New Team.
